1 dead, 4 wounded in two separate vehicle accidents in southern and eastern Ontario


Two separate vehicle accidents left one person dead and four others wounded in southern and eastern Ontario on Sunday.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP0 said the driver of a vehicle was killed following a fatal single vehicle collision on Highway 6, between 3rd and 4th Line, in Haldimand.

The vehicle was travelling southbound and it left the roadway, OPP said, adding that the roads remain open.

Meanwhile, a vehicle rolled over in Wellington at around 4:20 pm today, leaving four people injured.

According to OPP, the incident took place on 18th Line, resulting into a road closure between WR 7 and WR 8 while officers investigate.

Four occupants of the vehicle were transported to hospital and one of them was transferred to Toronto Hospital with serious injuries.
