Alberta is reporting 383 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and five additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, said the Alberta Health identified 383 new cases by completing about 8,900 tests in the past 24 hours.
Furthermore, Dr. Hinshaw, said five deaths were also reported to Alberta Health.
According to Dr. Hinshaw, there are now 498 people in hospital due to COVID-19. Of the 404 non-ICU, 72.1% are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated. Of the 94 in ICU, 83% are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.
The Alberta Health on Wednesday reported 412 new cases of COVID-19 and three additional deaths due to the virus over a 24-hour period.
