Alberta reported 406 new positive cases of the novel corona virus (COVID-19) and 8 new deaths in the past 24 hours.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw, the Chief Medical Officer of Health of Alberta, said the Alberta Health Services completed 6,900 tests and identified 406 new positive cases.
She also added that 478 people are currently in hospital with 140 of them in Intensive Care Unit and 8 people died of the virus during the same period.
“Our case numbers continue to decline so please keep making good choices. Follow public health measures this weekend as your actions will affect our numbers in the days and weeks to come,” Dr. Hinshaw said in a Twitter post.
Alberta on Friday reported 512 new cases of COVID-19 and 7 new deaths.
