Alberta reports 484 COVID-19 cases and 5 additional deaths

Alberta is reporting 484 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and five additioal deaths over a 24-hour period.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, the Chief Medical Officer of Health of Alberta, said the new cases were identified out of 11,000 tests which were completed in the past 24 hours.

Furthermore, Dr. Hinshaw, said there are now 582 people in hospital due to COVID-19.

She also added that of the 459 non-ICU, 72.3% are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and 85.4% of 123 in ICU,
are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.

“Sadly, 5 new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported to Alberta Health in the last 24 hours,” Dr. Hinshaw said.

The Alberta Health on Tuesday reported 422 new cases of COVID-19 amd 8 additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
