Alberta is reporting over 400 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and seven additional deaths in the last hours.
Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, said the Alberta Health completed around 10,800 tests in the past 24 hours, and identified 430 new cases of COVID-19.
Dr. Hinshaw further added that 424 people being treated for COVID-19 in the hospital, including 79 in Intensive Care Unit.
She also added that seven additional deaths due to COVID-19 were reported to Alberta Health services in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hinshaw, said there are active alerts or outbreaks in 147 schools in Alberta. Eight of the schools had ten or more cases infectious in the school within the last 14 days.
The Alberta Health on Tuesday reported 238 new cases of COVID-19 and six additional deaths due to the virus over a 24-hour period.
