Alberta reports over 800 COVID-19 cases in past 48 hours and seven additional deaths

Alberta’s top doctor, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, said the Alberta Health identified 371 new cases by completing 8,800 tests in the past 24 hours.

Dr. Hinshaw further added that 470 new cases were identified out of 11,600 tests on November 10.

She also added that 554 people are currently hospitalized in Alberta due to COVID-19, including 110 patients who are being treated in Intensive Care Unit.

According to Dr. Hinshaw, 73.4% of non-ICU patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, while 83.6% of ICU patients are not vaccinated or partially vaccinated.

“Sadly, 7 new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported to Alberta Health since Nov 9,” Dr. Hinshaw said.

The Alberta Health on Wednesday reported 484 new cases of COVID-19 and five additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
