The B.C. Government announced Monday that the health authorities identified 1,370 new cases of the novel coronavirus over the past 72 hours.
“Over a three-day period, B.C. is reporting 1,370 new cases of COVID-19, including three epi-linked cases, for a total of 206,284 cases in the province” according to a statement released by B.C. government.
The statement further added that the health officials identified 568 cases between October 29-30, 470 cases between October 30-31, and 332 new cases between October 31 and November 1.
436 individuals are currently in hospital and 140 are in intensive care.
The B.C. government also added that 25 new deaths were reported in the last 72 hours, for an overall total of 2,129.
As of Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, 90.0% (4,169,986) of eligible people 12 and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 85.3% (3,954,068) have received their second dose.
