B.C. reports 430 COVID-19 cases and 6 deaths in past 24 hours


B.C. is reporting 430 cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and ten additional deaths over a 24-hour period.

According to a statement released by B.C. Government, 202 new cases were identified in Fraser Health, 56 new cases in Vancouver Coastal Health, 88 new cases in Interior Health, 37 new cases in Northern Health, and 47 new cases in Island Health.

The statement further added that there are 4,373 active cases of COVID-19 in the province, and 200,220 people who tested positive have recovered.

Of the active cases, 137 are in intensive care, the statement said, adding that the remaining people are recovering at home in self-isolation.

The B.C. Government also added that in the past 24 hours, 6 new deaths have been reported, for an overall total of 2,192.

As of Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, 90.1% (4,174,139) of eligible people 12 and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 85.5%.

The B.C. Government on Tuesday reported 406 cases of COVID-19 and 5 additional deaths over 24-hour period.
