B.C. reports 759 new COVID-19 cases, 10 additional deaths in the last 24 hours


The Government of British on Wednesday reported that 759 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been identified in the last 24 hours.

“B.C. is reporting 759 new cases of COVID-19, including 25 epi-linked cases, for a total of 180,937 cases in the province,” the B.C. Government said in a statement.

The statement further added that 214 new cases were identified in Fraser Health, 101 in Vancouver Coastal Health, 233 in Interior Health, 129 in Northern Health, and 79 cases in Island Health.

The B.C. Government also added that in the past 24 hours, 10 new deaths have been reported, for an overall total of 1,910.

Meanwhile, the B.C. Government said there are 5,458 active cases of COVID-19 in the province and 173,215 people who tested positive have recovered.

There are 324 individuals in hospital and 157 are in intensive care, the B.C. Government said, adding that the remaining people are recovering at home in self-isolation.
