The Toronto Police announced Wednesday that they have arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with a stabbing incident at a school.
“On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 1:41 p.m., police responded to reports of a stabbing at a school in the Don Mills Road and Fraydon Hall Drive area,” the Toronto Police said in a statement.
The statement further added that the boy reportedly stabbed a 16-year-old student following a verbal confrontation which turned into a physical altercation.
The 16-year-old boy suffered a single stab wound to his torso, the Toronto Policw said, adding that the boy made his way to hospital where he is currently in stable condition.
The suspect fled the area but was arrested by police a short time later and was charged with carrying Concealed Weapon, aggravated Assault, assault with a Weapon, and Weapons Dangerous.
The Toronto Police also added that the boy will appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 10 a.m., room 206.
