Calgary High School placed into lockdown following stabbing incident

The Bishop McNally High School was placed into lockdown after a teenage male was stabbed, the Calgary Police said.

“We are currently responding to reports of a stabbing at Bishop McNally High School. A teenage male has been taken to hospital in non-life-threatening, stable condition and we are circulating for potential suspects,” the Calgary Police said in a statement.

The statement further added that the school has been placed into lockdown as a further precaution.

The Calgary Police also urged the public to refrain from attending the area as work to safely resolve the incident.

Meanwhile, the Calgary Catholic School District, said the lockdown at Bishop McNally High School ended at approx. 12:35 p.m. All classes are resuming as usual.
