Canada Soccer adds Jen Herst as goalkeeper and set play coach ahead of International Season

The Canada Soccer announced Friday that experienced goalkeeper coach Jen Herst will serve as Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team’s Goalkeeper and Set Plays Coach.

“I’m delighted to add Jen Herst to the Technical Team for Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team,” Head Coach Bev Priestman was quoted as saying in a statement by Canada Soccer.

Priestman further added “She brings some valuable experience both in the Professional and International Women’s Game and has a great reputation not only in Goalkeeping but Set Plays.”

Herst most recently served as goalkeeper coach for the Wales Women’s National Team and previously served in a similar role with England’s Youth teams, the Canada Soccer added in its statement.

She has also worked as a goalkeeper coach with FA Women’s Super League sides Liverpool FC and Everton FC.

The Canada Soccer also added that Herst is the latest hire by the Women’s National Team Program after the addition of Andy Spence as an Assistant Coach and Claire Eccles as Equipment Manager.
