“Canada will receive an additional 7 million doses of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine this month – with shipments starting next week,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said.

He also added “And as previously confirmed, we’ll continue to receive more than 2 million doses of Pfizer’s vaccine every week until the end of August.”

The government has so far delivered more than 30 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to the provinces and territories.

Mona Fortier, Minister of Middle Class Prosperity and Associate Minister of Finance, said Wednesday that over 30 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been delivered to provinces and territories to date.

She also added that more than 70 percent of eligible Canadians have received at least one dose of the vaccine, calling the delivery and administration of the vaccines a ‘milestone’.
