Canadiens advance to Stanley Cup final for the first time since 1993

Artturi Lehkonen scored at 1:39 of overtime for the Canadiens in a 3-2 win against the Golden Knights in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Semifinals at Bell Centre.

This is the first the Canadiens are advancing to the final of Stanley Cup after winning the Cup in 1993.

The Canadiens will face either the Tampa Bay Lightning or the New York Islanders during the Game 7 of the series which will be played on Friday, according to the National Hockey League.

The Canadiens were coached by Luke Richardson after Dominique Ducharme tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
