COVID-19: Alberta reports 1,210 new cases, 18 deaths over a 3-day period

Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, said the Alberta Health identified 342 new cases by completing 6,700 tests in the last 24 hours.

The Alberta Health identified 335 cases out of 8,200 tests on October 30, and 553 cases out of 9300 tests on October 29.

Dr. Hinshaw further added that 789 people are in hospital due to COVID-19. “Of the 532 in non-ICU, 72.7% are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated. Of the 157 in ICU, 88.5% are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.”

She also added that 18 new deaths due to COVID-19 were reported to Alberta Health Services in the last 72 hours.

The Alberta Health on Friday reported 603 new cases of COVDI-19 and 9 additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
