The Alberta Health reported 770 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 8 additional deaths on Thursday.
Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health said the new cases were identified following the completion of 11,800 tests.
Dr. Hinshaw further added that 912 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19, including 201 people being treated in Intensive Care Unit.
“We continue to see these numbers declining, but it’s important to remember that this takes time, and could reverse quickly if we’re not careful,” she said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hinshaw, said “Sadly, over the last 24 hrs, 8 new deaths were reported to Alberta Health.”
The Alberta Health on Wednesday reported 786 cases of COVID-19 and 18 additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
