COVID-19: Ontario reports 409 new cases, 3 additional deaths in past 24 hour

The Ontario Health on Thursday reported 409 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24-hour period.

Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said the Ontario Health identified 265 cases in individuals who are unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

Elliott further added that 144 cases were identified in fully vaccinated individuals.

She also added that 197 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, and 132 are being treated in Intensive Care Unit.

169 non-ICU patients are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 28 are fully vaccinated.

In ICU, 116 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 16 are fully vaccinated.

In Ontario, 22,455,484 vaccine doses have been administered. 88.0% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 84.2% have two doses.

The Ontario Health on Wednewday reported 321 cases of COVID-19 and 10 additional death over over a 24-hour period.
