COVID-19: Ontario reports 413 new cases, 4 additional deaths in past 24 hour

The Ontario Health on Thursday reported 413 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24-hour period.

Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said the Ontario Health identified 273 cases in individuals who are unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

Elliott further added that 140 cases were identified in fully vaccinated individuals.

She also added that 274 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, 234 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 40 are fully vaccinated.

161 people are being treated in Intensive Care Unit. 141 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 20 are fully vaccinated.

In Ontario, 22,312,892 vaccine doses have been administered, she said, adding that Nearly 87.7% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and nearly 83.5% have two doses.

The Ontario Health also reported 4 additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
