COVID-19: Ontario reports 443 new cases, no additional deaths in past 24 hours


The Ontario Health on Sunday reported 443 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24-hour period.

Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said the Ontario Health identified 288 cases in individuals who are unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

Elliott further added that 155 cases were identified in fully vaccinated individuals.

She also added that 155 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, including 164 people who are being treated in Intensive Care Unit.

The Ontario Health has so far administered 22,231,210 doses of COVID-19 vaccine so far. 87.4% of Ontarians aged 12+ have received one dose of the vaccine while e83.1% have received two doses of the vaccine.

Meanwhil, the Ontario Health said no additional deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
