COVID-19: Quebec reports 342 new cases and 4 more deaths in last 24 hours


The Quebec Health on Tuesday reported that 342 new cases of the novel coronavirus were identified in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs of Quebec said 4 additional deaths were also reported in the last 24 hours, increasing the total of COVID-19 deaths to 11,453.

The ministry also reported a slight increase in hospitalizations, saying 297 people are hospitalized and receiving treatment for COVDI-19, including 222 non-ICU patients.

Meanwhile, the ministry said 75 people are receiving treatment in Intensive Care Unit.

“6,705 doses administered are added, ie 6,258 in the last 24 hours and 447 before October 18, for a total of 13,108,253 doses administered in Quebec. Outside Quebec, a total of 208,631 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 13,316,884 doses received by Quebecers,” the ministry said.

Quebec on Friday reported 410 new cases of COVID-19 and 5 additional deaths over a 24 hour period.
