COVID-19: Quebec reports 3,631 new cases and two additional deaths


Quebec is reporting 3,631 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24 hour period.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec in a statement said 347 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Quebec.

The statement further added that there was increase of 35 in total hospitalizations as compared to previous day.

Currently, 273 individuals are receiving treatment in non-ICU wards, an increase of 23 as compared to Friday.

74 individuals are being treated in Intensive Care, an increase of 12 as compared to the previous day.

The Mjnistry of Health and Social Services of Quebec in Friday reported that 3,768 new cases of COVID-19 were identified between December 16 and 17.

The ministry also reported seven additional deaths due to COVID-19 over a 24 hour period.
