COVID-19: Quebec reports over 1,100 cases, two additional deaths

The Quebec Health on Thursday reported over 1,100 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and two additional deaths over a 24-hour period.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec in a statement said 1,146 new cases of COVID-19 were identified in the last 24 hours.

The statement further added that two additional deaths were also reported in the past 24 hours, increasing the total COVID-19 fatality in Quebec to 11,583 since the start of pandemic.

The province reported a slight decrease in hospitalizations due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Currently, 227 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 in Quebec and 53 people are being treated in Intensive Care Unit for the virus.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec also added that 27,558 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the province, including 26,563 in the last 24 hours and 995 before 1st December for a total of 13,665,978 doses administered so far.

Quebec on Wednesday reported 1,196 new cases of COVID-19 and two additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
