Saskatchewan is reporting 507 new cases of the novel coronavirus and 1 additional death in the last 24 hours.
The Government of Saskatchewan said the new cases bring the total of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases to 72,033 since the start of the pandemic.
4,703 cases are considered active and 66,583 cases are considered recovered.
The health authorities identified 17 of the new cases in Far North West, 45 in Far North East, 64 in North West, 66 in North Central, 17 in North East, 112 in Saskatoon, 2 in Central West, 52 in Central East, 62 in Regina, 16 in South West, 9 in South Central, 26 in South East zones.
As of October 9, a total of 333 individuals are hospitalized, including 254 inpatient hospitalizations, and 79 ICU hospitalizations, the Saskatchewan Government said, adding that of the 333 patients, 252 (75.7%) were not fully vaccinated.
