COVID-19: Saskatchewan reports 89 new cases and 3 additional deaths


Saskatchewan is reporting 89 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 3 additional deaths over a 24-hour period.

One new case was identified in the Far North West, 4 in North West, 3 in North Central, 1 in North East, 27 in Saskatoon, 4 in Central West, 26 in Central East, 10 in Regina, 2 in South West, 2 in South Central, and 6 South East (6) zones.

Three new cases have pending residence information, the government of Saskatchewan said in a statement.

The statement further added that 1,102 cases are considered active and 78,015 cases are considered recovered.

As of November 19th, a total of 157 individuals are hospitalized, including 118 inpatient hospitalizations, and 39 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 157 patients, 109 (69.4%) were not fully vaccinated.

Three new deaths reported on Friday. 908 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
