The Edmonton Police arrested and charged a former elementary school teacher in connection with the alleged sexual offences.

“The EPS Child Protection Section has charged a former elementary school teacher with sexual assault in connection to several incidents that allegedly occurred at a west Edmonton school over the last several years,” the Edmonton Police said in a statement.

The statement further added “It was reported to police that the now 55-year-old accused committed the offences against three of his elementary school students between 2016 and 2019. Two of the girls were nine years old at the time of the alleged offences with the third girl being 11 years old.”
