Edmonton Police lay charge in relation to suspicious death of 23-year-old man


The Edmonton Police announced Saturday they have laid second degree charge in relation to suspicious death of a 23-year-old man.

“EPS Homicide Section detectives have arrested and charged a 24-year-old male in connection with the death of a 23-year-old male Friday in northeast Edmonton,” the Edmonton Police said in a statement.

The statement further added that the Homicide Section detectives arrested and charged Dalton Moar, 24, of Edmonton, with second degree murder.

Police are currently not looking for any other suspects, the Edmonton Police said, adding that the Edmonton Medical Examiner has scheduled an autopsy for Tuesday, Dec. 7.

The Edmonton Police Northeast Branch members located the deceased adult inside a residence after responding to a weapons complaint near 67 Street and 127 Avenue in the neighbourhood of Balwin, on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, at approximately 12:40 p.m.
