Edmonton Police seek public’s help to identify man who sexually assaulted an elderly woman


The Edmonron Police are seeking public’s help to identify a man who sexually assaulted a ln elderly woman.

The incident took place on Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, in the area of 121 Avenue and 61 Street (Montrose neighborhood).

“It was reported that sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. an unknown male suspect rang the woman’s doorbell and reportedly forced himself inside her residence and committed a sexual assault. The suspect was unknown to the woman,” the Edmonton Police said in a statement.

The male suspect is thought to be between the ages of 45-60 and is believed to be approximately 6’0” tall and 190 lbs, the Edmonton Police said, adding that the suspect had dark stubble on his face and was wearing glasses, a blue jacket, dark pants and a black toque at the time.

The Edmonton Police also added that they are asking the residents who live between 60-63 Street and 120-122 Avenue to review their doorbell and CCTV footage between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, 2021 for any suspicious activity or any individuals matching the suspect’s description.
