Firearm, drugs, cash seized as Toronto Police arrest intoxicated man sleeping behind the wheel


The Toronto Police seized a firearm, drugs, and cash after arrested an intoxicated man who was found sleeping behind the wheel.

According to a statement released by Toronto Police,the officers arrested the man on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 9 a.m., following an investigationat Queen Street West and Denison Avenue area.

The statement further added that the officers found the man sleeping behind the wheel as he exhibiting signs of intoxication.

The man, identfied as Munir Saleh, 23, of Kitchener, was arrested for having Impaired Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle, and a quantity of drugs and cash, a loaded 9mm Glock Model 17 pistol with four rounds in the magazine, 3.67 grams of Crack Cocaine, 32.72 grams of Fentanyl, and $7,965, were located and seized.

The Toronto Police also added Saleh has been charged with impaired care and control, possession for the purpose of trafficking a schedule I substance (Crack), possession for the Purpose of trafficking a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl), and possession of a Schedule I Substance (Vyvanse).

He was also charged with possession of proceeds of crime, possession of a weapon, possession of a Restricted Weapon Without Authorization, Use/Handle/Store firearm carelessly, possession of a loaded, regulated firearm, occupying motor vehicle with firearm, possession of a prohibited device, possessing firearm while prohibited, and two counts of fail to comply with probation.
