Girl, 15, arrested in connection with the murder of a boy, 16, in Toronto 


The Toronto Police announced Thursday that they have arrested a 15-year-old girl in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old boy.

On Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 12:35 p.m., a 15-year-old-girl was arrested in connection with murder of Caden Francis, 16, of Toronto, the Toronto Police said in a statement.

The statement further added that the suspect was charged with First Degree Murder.

According to Toronto Police, the incident took place earlier in Julu this year. “On Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 6:03 p.m., officers responded to a radio call for a shooting at 11 Antrim Crescent.”

Officers arrived and located a male suffering serious injuries, the Oronto Police said, adding that the officers assisted with an emergency run to hospital. The victim succumbed to his injuries in hospital and was pronounced deceased.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Police said the suspect will attend court on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, in room 408, at 10 a.m.
