A man sustained life-threatening injuries following a collision in Toronto city late on Friday night, the Toronto Police said.
“On Friday, December 10, 2021, at approximately 11:45 p.m., police received a report of a personal injury collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian in the Lake Shore Boulevard East and Lower Jarvis Street area,” the police said in a statement.
The 34-year-old man was reportedly crossing the Lake Shore Boulevard East near Lower Jarvis Street when a black vehicle travelling east bound struck him.
The vehicle failed to remain at the scene and the pedestrian was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, the Toronto Police said, adding that the investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.
Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
