The Codiac Regional RCMP arrested the 24-year-old Moncton man, Colton Benjamin Stiles, on Paul Street in Dieppe as part of the investigation, on November 6, 2021.

He appeared in Moncton Provincial Court by way of tele-remand on November 7 and was charged with attempted murder and was remanded into custody.

Stiles also appeared in court on November 10 and was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent, unsafe storage of firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, unauthorized possession in motor vehicle, possession of weapon obtained by crime, and weapons possession contrary to order and fail to surrender authorization.

The previous charge laid on November 7 for attempted murder was revoked, the RCMP said, adding that Stiles was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on November 17.
