Nova Scotia RCMP investigating theft of firearms, ammunition, cash from Pictou County property


The Nova Scotia RCMP are investigating the theft of firearms, ammunition, and cash from a property in Pictou Country.

“Pictou County District RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft of firearms that occurred at a property on Macdonald Blackie Rd. in Poplar Hill, Pictou County,” the RCMP said in a statement.

The statement further added that unknown suspect(s), forced open the front door of the property, sometimes between October 3 and October 9, and left with five firearms, ammunition and cash.

The suspect(s) stole three .22 Cooey rifles, a 20-gauge shotgun and a .303 British rifle.
