The Alberta Health on Thursday reported 379 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and one additional death due to the virus.
Alberta’s top doctor, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, said the Alberta Health completed around 9,600 tests in the last 24 hours and identified 379 new cases.
Dr. Hinshaw further added that 465 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Alberta, including 367 non-ICU patients.
According to Dr. Hinshaw, 70.1 per cent of the non-ICU patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.
She also added that 98 people are being treated in Intensive Care Unit for COVID-19, with 84.7 per cent of them being unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.
The Alberta Health on Wednesday reported 464 new cases of COVID-19 and four additional deaths due to the virus over a 24-hour period.
