Ontario reports 11,352 new cases of COVID-19 and 10 additional deaths


The Ontario Health on Tuesday announced that the health authorities have identified 11,352 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Ten additional deaths due to COVID-19 were also reported to Ontario Health in the last 24 hours.

Christine Elliott, the Minister of Health of Ontario, said 1,290 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Ontario.

Elliott further added that 266 people are in Intensive Care Unit due to COVID-19 in Ontario.

The seven-day rolling average of COVID-19 related patients in ICU is 221, she added.

Meanwhile, Elliott, said 27,570,940 vaccine doses have been administered, with over 148,000 doses administered yesterday.

She also added that 90.9% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 88.2% have two doses.

The Ontario Health on Monday reported 13,578 new cases of COVID-19 and 6 additional deaths over a 24 hour period.
