Ontario reports 1,315 COVID-19 cases, 20 more deaths over a 2-day period

The Ontario Health is reporting 1,315 new cases of COVID-19 and 20 additional deaths over a two-day period.

Ontario’s Minister of Health, Christine Elliott, said the Ontario Health identified 647 new cases between September 29-30.

Elliott further added that 496 of the new cases were identified in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

Meanwhile, the Ontario Health identified 668 new cases between September 30 and October 1, Elliott said, adding that 502 of the cases were identified among the people who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

Elliott also added that 278 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, including 250 people who are not fully vaccinated, and 163 people being are treated in Intensive Care Units.

The Ontario Health reported 9 deaths between September 29-30, and 11 deaths between September 29 and October 1.
