Ontario reports 13,362 COVID cases, 31 additional deaths on Saturday


Ontario is reporting 13,362 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24 hour period.

The Ontario Health also reported 31 additional deaths due to COVID-19.

Provincial health minister, Christine Elliott, said 2,594 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Ontario.

Elliott further added that there are 385 people in ICU with COVID-19. 248 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 137 are fully vaccinated.

She also added that the seven-day rolling average of COVID-19 related patients in ICU is 285.

Meanwhile, Elliott, said in Ontario, 28,324,152 vaccine doses have been administered, with over 184,000 doses administered yesterday.

According to Elliott, 91.1% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 88.4% have two doses.

The Ontario Health on Friday reported 11,899 new cases of COVID-19 and 42 additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
