Ontario reports 15 additional deaths with a slight decrease in new COVID-19 cases


Ontario reported 15 additional deaths due to the novel coronavirus (COVID0-19) with a slight decrease in new cases in the past 24 hours.

The Ontario Health release the latest COVID-19 data earlier today, stating that the province identified 502 new positive cases.

Meanwhile, the Ontario Health reported that 15 people died of the virus in the past 24 hours.

Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said the Ontario Health completed nearly 24,100 tests in the past 24 hours and identified 502 positive cases.

According to Elliott, locally, there are 89 new cases in Toronto, 71 in Peel, 51 in Waterloo, 37 in York Region and 31 in Durham.

She also added that the Ontario Health administered 11,022,452 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as of 8:00 pm on Friday.
