Quebec is reporting 2,977 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 85 additional deaths on Friday.
The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said 3,278 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 21 compared to the previous day.
A total of 272 individuals were admitted to hospital due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours and 293 others were discharged.
Currently, 263 people are in intensive care, a number which remained stable as compared to the previous day, the Ministry of Health and Social Services said, adding that 33 individuals were admitted to ICU in the last 24 hours, while 33 others were discharged.
The ministry also added that 86,488 doses of COCOD-19 vaccinewere administered, including 82,197 doses in the last 24 hours and 4,291 doses before January 24, for a total of 17,251,891 doses administered in Québec.
Outside Québec, a total of 269,266 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 17,521,157 doses received by Quebecers.
The Quebec Health on Monday reported 2,897 new cases of COVID-19 and 52 additional deaths over a 24 hour period.
