Ontario reports 3,301 new cases of COVID-19

Ontario is reporting 3,301 New cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and four additional deaths over a 24 hour period.

Provincial Health Minister, Christine Elliott, said 822 of the new cases were identified in individuals who are not fully vaccinated.

Elliott further added that 141 cases were identified in individuals who have an unknown vaccination status.

Elliott also added that 382 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

294 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 88 are fully vaccinated.

154 people are in ICU due to COVID-19, including 121 whi are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 33 are fully vaccinated.

In Ontario, 25,174,953 vaccine doses have been administered, Elliott said, adding that 90.4% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 87.8% have two doses.

The Ontario Health on Friday reported 3,124 new cases of COVID-19 and five additional deaths.
