Ontario reports 355 new COVID-19 cases, 13 additional deaths


Ontario on Saturday reported 355 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 13 additional deaths.

Christine Elliott, Minister of Health of Ontario, said the Ontario Health completed 25,400 tests in the past 24 hours and identified 355 new positive cases.

Elliott further added that the Ontario Health identified 58 of the new cases in Toronto, 54 in the Region of Waterloo, 45 in Peel, 23 in Hamilton and 22 in Porcupine Health Unit region.

She also added that as of 8:00 p.m. yesterday, 12,366,899 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered, including 213,236 doses administered yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Ontario Health reported that 13 people died of the virus in the past 24 hours, a day after the province reported only 1 death.
