Ontario is reporting 370 cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and one additional death over a 24-hour period.
Ontario’s Minister of Health, Christine Elliott, said 247 of the new cases were identified in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
Elliott further added that the health authorities identified the remaining 123 cases in fully vaccinated individuals.
According to Elliott, 138 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Ontario and 137 people are in Intensive Care Unit due to the virus.
She also added that 22,385,190 vaccine doses have been administered in Ontario so far. Nearly 87.9% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 83.8% have two doses.
The Ontario Health on Saturday reported 373 cases of COVID-19 and 6 additional deaths.
