Ontario reports 419 new COVID-19 cases and zero additional deaths


The Ontario Health reported 491 new case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and zero additional deaths on Friday.

Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said 279 of the new cases were identified in individuals who are fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination.

Elliott further added that the remaining 140 cases were identified in fully vaccinated individuals.

She also added that 211 people are in hospital due to COVID-19, including 182 people are who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

130 people are in Intensive Care Unit with 116 not fully vaccinated or having an unknown vaccination status.

In Ontario, 22,476,654 vaccine doses have been administered. Nearly 88.1% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 84.3% have two doses.
