The Ontario Health on Tuesday reported 438 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24-hour period.
Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said the Ontario Health identified 279 cases in individuals who are unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
Elliott further added that 159 cases were identified in fully vaccinated individuals.
She also added that 234 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, and 130 are being treated in Intensive Care Unit.
177 non-ICU patients are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 45 are fully vaccinated, and 115 in ICU are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 14 are fully vaccinated.
In Ontario, 22,569,439 vaccine doses have been administered. 88.3% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and nearly 84.8% have two doses.
The Ontario Health on Wednesday reported 378 COVID-19 cases and 5 additional deaths.
