Ontario reports 463 new cases, 7 additional deaths due to COVID-19


The Ontario Health on Wednesday reported 463 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 7 additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said the Ontario Health identified 332 of the new cases in individuals who are not fully vaccinated while 131 cases were identified in fully vaccinated individuals.

Elliott further added that 299 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, including 271 who are not fully vaccinated.

Furthermore, Elliott said 187 people are being treated in Intensive Care Units, including 178 people who have not received all doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, Elliott said starting today, individuals are required to provide proof of vaccination to access certain businesses and settings.
