Ontario reports 480 coronavirus cases, 2 additional deaths


The Ontario Health on Monday reported 480 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24-hour period.

Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said the Ontario Health identified 289 cases in individuals who are unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

Elliott further added that 191 cases were identified in fully vaccinated individuals.

She also added that 105 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, and 127 are being treated in Intensive Care Unit.

In Ontario, 22,623,960 vaccine doses have been administered. Nearly 88.5% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and nearly 85.1% have two doses.

The Ontario Health on Sunday reported 636 COVID-19 cases and 3 additional deaths.
