Ontario reports 552 coronavirus cases, 3 additional deaths


The Ontario Health on Monday reported 552 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24-hour period.

Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said the Ontario Health identified 340 cases in individuals who are unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

Elliott further added that 212 cases were identified in fully vaccinated individuals.

She also added that 138 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.

141 are being treated in Intensive Care Unit, Elliott said.

In Ontario, 22,720,151 vaccine doses have been administered. 88.7% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 85.5% have two doses.

The Ontario Health on Sunday reported 666 COVID-19 cases and 7 additional deaths
