The Ontario Health on Sunday reported 636 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24-hour period.
Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said the Ontario Health identified 388 cases in individuals who are unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
Elliott further added that 248 cases were identified in fully vaccinated individuals.
She also added that 203 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, and 130 are being treated in Intensive Care Unit.
151 non-ICU patients are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 52 are fully vaccinated, and 115 in ICU are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 15 are fully vaccinated.
In Ontario, 22,606,903 vaccine doses have been administered. 88.4% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 84.9% have two doses.
The Ontario Health on Saturday reported 508 COVID-19 cases and no additional deaths.
