Ontario reports 640 cases, 10 more deaths due to COVID-19 in past 24 hours

The Ontario Health on Saturday reported 640 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 10 deaths in the past 24 hours.

Ontario’s Minister of Health, Christine Elliott, said 485 of the new cases were identified in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or those who have an unknown vaccination status.

Elliott further added that 323 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, including 280 people who are not fully vaccinated.

She also added that 178 people are being treated in Intensive Care Units, including 171 people who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

The Ontario Health on Friday reported 727 new cases of COVID-19 and 11 new deaths over a 24-hour period.
