Ontario is reporting close to 600 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-) over a 24-hour period.
Christine Elliott, the Minster Health of Ontario, said 591 new cases were identified in Ontario in the past 24 hours.
Elliott further added that 307 cases are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
47 cases are in individuals with an unknown vaccination status, she added.
She also added that 289 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, and 137 people are in ICU due to COVID-19.
123 people being treated in ICU are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 14 are fully vaccinated.
The Intario Health on Tuesday reported 613 COVID-19 cases and six additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
