The Ontario Health on Sunday reported 666 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24-hour period.
Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said the Ontario Health identified 366 cases in individuals who are unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
Elliott further added that 300 cases were identified in fully vaccinated individuals.
She also added that 126 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, and 133 are being treated in Intensive Care Unit.
In Ontario, 22,712,900 vaccine doses have been administered. 88.7% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 85.5% have two doses.
The Ontario Health on Saturday reported 661 COVID-19 cases and 6 additional deaths.
Meanwhile, Elliott, said out of an abundance of caution, Ontario is pausing the lifting of capacity limits in remaining higher-risk settings as the province continues to monitor public health trends.
